Hydrogen can store energy from wind and tide to power cars, and ferries, and other things as well. Jon Clipsham and James Ferguson of EMEC join Adele Lidderdale of Orkney Islands Council to describe plans and progress with the BIG HIT and other innovative hydrogen projects in the Orkney Islands.

This event is part of the Orkney International Science Festival Family Day. This year’s Festival programme, which takes place from 6-12 September, is being supported by the Year of Young People Event Fund. The funding is to give the programme an added freshness and originality with the participation of young people (aged up to 26) in a variety of ways.
