SHFCA2020 H2FC Online covers policy, hydrogen supply, infrastructure, and hydrogen demand. This brings together the key elements required to build a working hydrogen economy that will enable the transition to a low carbon energy system.
These two half-day episodes of SHFCA2020 H2FC Online will cover policy, hydrogen supply, infrastructure, and hydrogen demand.
Part 1 of SHFCA2020 H2FC Online is on the afternoon of Wednesday 14 October, with two consecutive sessions on the theme of building a hydrogen economy for Scotland. The opening plenary session runs from 13:30 – 15:00 BST and will highlight policy leadership and ambitions for hydrogen and fuel cells, exploring importance of cross-sector and international partnership working in the lead up to COP26. The opening plenary is followed by a session on hydrogen supply which runs from 15:30 – 17:00 BST and will address the importance of the hydrogen supply chain with updates on key projects for production of green and blue hydrogen.
Part 2 of SHFCA2020 H2FC Online takes place during the morning of Thursday 15 October with two further sessions continuing the theme of building a hydrogen economy for Scotland. The first session from 09:30 – 11:00 BST is about building the enabling hydrogen infrastructure which will connect the sources of hydrogen supply with the growing hydrogen demand. This is followed by the final session from 11:30 – 13:00 BST which will address hydrogen demand, and consider how to build up this demand at sufficient scale and with attractive business models.
Hydrogen is a fast evolving area in Scotland, and SHFCA2020 H2FC Online promises to be one of the highlights of this year.
