  • Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association 14b Johnston Terrace Edinburgh, EH1 2PW Scotland (map)

Don’t miss SHFCA2021 on 13-14 October, the Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association’s annual conference. Take full advantage of the opportunities to network with other delegatesand hear expert speakers over both days. All of the SHFCA2021 online sessions are free to attend live thanks to the support from our SHFCA2021 partners: Haskel, Kiwa, SGN, DNV, ScottishPower, Ballard Power Systems, GHD, Protium, Dentons, Doosan Babcock, Frazer-Nash Consultancy, Gillespie Macandrew, ORION Clean Energy Project, TCP Group, and TÜV-SÜD UK.

The theme for our 13th annual SHFCA conference is Scaling up Hydrogen for Net Zero which reflects the urgent need to tackle carbon emissions and climate change. The Scottish Government’s Hydrogen Policy Statement of December 2020 set a target for 5GW of low carbon hydrogen production in Scotland by 2030, and our SHFCA2021 plenary speakers will highlight the importance of partnerships and taking a whole energy system approach to help deliver Scotland’s 2030 targets. The three conference sessions on early market demand, hydrogen production, and enabling the hydrogen infrastructure will show progress now being made across Scotland towards Net Zero. All of the sessions are scheduled for 90 minutes and include 30 minutes of moderated Q&A with the opportunity for all delegates to put questions to the panel.

The SHFCA2021 programme brings together SHFCA members and invited expert speakers from Scotland, UK, Europe, and North America. It will explore the opportunities for growth using hydrogen and fuel cells to enable the low carbon energy system transition and help deliver key targets. We will hear about exemplar projects and related activities that are building up key skills and expertise in Scotland, and establishing important links with partner regions both in Europe and more widely.
